The Downunder Program
Dates: 25th June - 13th July 2018
Venue: Melbourne City Ballet Centre, Melbourne (Australia)
Melbourne City Ballet's International Summer Intensive will give young dancers the opportunity to work with Melbourne City Ballet's artistic staff and performing artists for 3 weeks during the Northern Hemisphere's summer break. The program focuses on developing classical and contemporary technique, artistic expression and learning the repertoire of the company. Do this while enjoying 3 weeks in Melbourne Australia, seeing the sights under the supervision of Melbourne City Ballet staff and meeting other like minded artists from across the globe. This program is suitable for young artists between 14 - 21 years of age internationally and anyone across Australia.
The program includes, Classical and Contemporary technique, classical and contemporary repertoire, conditioning, male technique, pointe work, pas de deux, improvisation, choreography techniques, Jazz and career planning.
To audition for the program complete the form below and attach a video of a short classical class and variation before the 31st of January 2018 for consideration.
Students who attend the program may apply for the Melbourne City Ballet's pre-professional and full time training programs or be considered for an internship with the company.
